Join us at Dempsters Sports Pub and Restaurant on Monday, December 8 from 6:00-8:00 pm for Guest Bartender Night. Our Guest Bartenders will be dressed in period clothing and donating their tips to Main Street Mount Holly in support of the commemoration of the Battle of Iron Works Hill. Come for drinks and/or dinner: 437 Pine Street (just North of Route 38) in Mount Holly.
This annual commemoration features Crown and Continental forces in camp, drilling, and eventually battling through town, from the Prison Museum on High Street to Monroe Street Park. We'll also have children's musket drills, Mercy Ingraham's cooking demonstrations, authors John Nagy (talking on "Dr. Benjamin Church, Spy") and Larry Kidder (talking on "1st Hunterdon County Militia"), The Ministers of Apollo presenting a concert of music from the 18th century, a British regimental surgeon, Benjamin Franklin, Abigail Adams, Ned Hector and English Country Dancing, plus a few surprises.
